She is a graduate of the Sewanee Education for Ministry program. She taught Registered Nurses and served as a hospital executive in area healthcare institutions for over 25 years. If elected to the vestry, she hopes to serve Christ Church and our community as we continue our spiritual journey.
  • Rebecca Smith – Rebecca has served on the Vestry most of 2020 filing a vacancy and provides the following comments regarding her continuance in this role: “I have attended Christ Church for over a decade and officially joined the church a few years ago. I enjoy serving our parish as a member of the altar guild, the outreach committee, and now the vestry. I am so very grateful for every person who is part of this wonderful place, and I hope to serve God and this parish well during the next three years.”
  • Troy Eichenberger – “I have been a member of Christ Church for the last eight years and have been privileged to participate in various ministries such as the vestry, treasurer, finance committee, liturgy committee, and humbled to serve at the altar in any lay capacity. I have also been honored to be elected an alternate diocesan deputy to General Convention (2018 & 2021) and two terms as a Trustee to the University of the South. For the last eighteen years, I have held various roles at the Tennessee Valley Authority and currently manage the implementation of energy efficiency and demand response programs across the Tennessee Valley. Our congregation has spent many months discerning who we are and God’s call to us. Now, with Fr. Levanway’s leadership, we are excited to see what God has in store for this small but very mighty parish. For the last 17 years, I have been blessed to be married to Laura Eichenberger, and we have three energetic sons. From day one, I fell in love with the liturgy and felt I was home at Christ Church. We found our parish family after quickly seeing how welcomed our young children were received into the community.”
  • Mark Reneau – “I have been a member of Christ Church since 1983. In that time I have served as a chalice bearer and lector; served on rector search committees, and have attended and spoken in various Sunday school classes. As a violinist I have played for many services throughout the church year, as well as played for many funerals in Christ Church.”
