Our difficult Bible text this week will be Mark 2:1-12. In these verses Jesus heals a paralyzed man brought into his house by the man’s friends. Jesus forgives the man’s sin and heals his paralysis. This healing leads to a confrontation with the scribes that raises the question for us about the connection or lack thereof between moral failings and our own health.
