1st Sunday After Pentecost
We will be keeping Trinity Sunday this week when we gather for mass. The Feast of The Trinity is one of the few times in the year when we give thanks, more or less, for a teaching or a doctrine. The collect of the day gives thanks that “by the confession of a true faith” we can acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity. As a sign of our thanks and a celebration of the faith we will sing a Te Deum, an ancient hymn of the church going back to the fourth century. The hymn will come at the end of mass and will be accompanied by incense and bells. Please get one of the bells from the back of church for our young folks to ring during the hymn.
